In March of 2020, Caitlin was ready to retire her 7 year old thoroughbred. She was spending over $400 per month on shoeing, trying to keep his feet together- only to find that he was still in pain, and the foot continued to fall apart. In May of 2020, she finally made the decision to pull his shoes and let nature take its course. 

Nature delivered! Buddy's feet began to heal. By July of 2020, he was comfortable at the walk again. Now, he is back to jumping 3' courses and schooling cross country fences! It was a long road, and she never found the right boot to keep him comfortable, despite paying hundreds in shipping fees. Until now. Enter Scoot Boots.

As a competitor in the performance sport horse world, everyone thought she was crazy for going barefoot, but the improved soundness spoke for itself. However, not every horse is able to go barefoot all the time. For example, Buddy's feet may never be able to manage gravel or rocky surfaces. Enter Scoot Boots. 

Caitlin wants to help every horse and horse owner to facilitate an easier barefoot journey than Buddy had! By making Scoot Boots accessible in the Mid-Atlantic region, Caitlin believes she can do just that.
